Just in from AP: The Las Vegas district attorney says that Conrad Murray, the doctor at the center of the Michael Jackson death investigation, may face arrest and could lose his medical license after missing a hearing yesterday to explain late child support payments.
Clark County District Attorney David Roger told AP today that a district judge could approve an arrest warrant recommended by a family court hearing master within 10 days. Roger says Murray owes $13,000 in unpaid child support to Nenita Malibiran, who lives in California.
A spokeswoman for Murray's lawyer in the Jackson case says Edward Chernoff is not representing Murray in the family court case. Roger says he plans to ask the state medical board to suspend Murray's medical license because of unpaid child support.
The $13K isn't Murray's only problem. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Murray has since defaulted on his mortgage for the home at Red Rock Country Club, and he owes $71,332 in unpaid student loans for medical school and more than $363,700 in judgments from lawsuits against him or his business.
